Alcohol content: 38% vol

Color: Clear, pale nuanced color with elements of white gold.

Scent: Pure and aromatic scent with hints of juniper and vermouth. Elegant, subtle with a pleasant softness.

Flavor: Round, clean, fresh and mild flavor of juniper and vermouth with an undertone of herbs and birch sap. A tinted taste of lemon with an ounce of caramel. Long and balanced soft aftertaste.

Perfectly paired with: Serve with seafood, herring and “smörgåsbord”. Also, an excellent ingredient in highball drinks and cocktails.

A vitamin rich sap

Birch sap has been harvested since ancient times in our arctic areas and used as an important nutritional supplement during early spring when the lack of vitamin-rich products was severe in this region. The birch soaks crystal clear water from Storsjön's mineral rich soil when the frozen ground melts in the spring. The tree transforms the water into sap, which can be harvested, which can then be drunk.

From sparkling wine to spirit

Sav™ Snaps is a development of Sav™ Sparkling, the sparkling birch wine. According to a recipe excavated in archives from the 18th century, eco-engineer Peter Mosten harvest the birch sap from specially selected birches at lake Storsjön. A procedure preceded by Peter reading the vegetation around the birch trees to make sure that the sap contains the right minerals and substances.
